What’s on my Desk

If you read my previous post about the new stationery collection then you know I love all things stationery. With that said, I love to have pieces that inspire me on my desk that are also functional. Journals, a cup of pens, hot coffee (of course), and a calendar.

My desk is where I often am working when I am not in the workshop, so having things around me that inspire and bring a smile to my face are key. Opening up a favorite journal helps to get my ideas flowing and putting pen to paper is how I work. I have come to find my favorite pen too, it’s a .38mm tip (muji is where I find them). An old foundry mold holds all my pens, pencils, brushes, and anything else that I need right at my hand. To the side is a calendar perched atop a wood box, which helps to keep my dates organized. It’s an added bonus for the calendar to have pretty illustrations. Lastly, a hot cup of coffee freshly brewed with my chemex.

A desk is a personal space and creating an area that inspires you will only help make you want to get to work. It should feel like a warm hug when you sit in your chair and not a dreaded space. Start collecting some odds and ends that inspire you to create your perfect desk space, it’s worth it.

Cheers,

Courtney
