Black Walnut End Grain no. 001
Handmade black walnut end grain board. A long process that produces beautiful patterns highlighting the inside of the woods grain. End grain is great for cutting on as it is more giving on knives not dulling the blades as quickly.
Wood is a natural material and with use will age adding beautiful character overtime. To keep the wood hydrated each board is soaked in food grade mineral oil and finished with food safe beeswax balm.
To keep the board moisturized rub food safe beeswax into it when it feels dry. Wipe clean with a damp cloth do not rinse underwater or place in a dishwasher. To dry the board after wiping it down lean it against the wall to allow for air to circulate on all sides.
